The Hendry County Health Department Clinical Services are provided by the Prenatal Care Unit, Family Planning Teen Health Clinic, and Ryan White Title III HIV/AIDS Clinic. The Ryan White Title III HIV/AIDS Clinic provides outpatient medical care for individuals not having the means to pay for private medical services. Persons with HIV/AIDS are provided with continuous comprehensive health care through this program.

The Communicable Disease Control and Prevention Unit concentrate in Childhood and Adult Immunizations, Tuberculosis Testing, Education, Treatment and Case Management Sexually Transmitted Disease Testing, Treatment and Education Investigation of Reportable diseases, and the serving the public through the Community Education Case Management Activities HIV Counseling and Testing Site. Hendry’s percentage of Medicaid births was 52% - lower than the peer group, but higher than the state average of 37%.
