Caloosa
Humane Society Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) status
organization that receives no federal, state, or local funding and relies on
donations, bequests and fundraising events.
We are a no-kill pet shelter in LaBelle, FL serving Hendry/Glades counties and
beyond since 2001.
We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome many homeless pets each year in our community
and beyond. Our incredibly dedicated staff, passionate volunteers and generous
donors make certain that our animals receive the best possible care while they
temporarily reside at CHS waiting for their forever home. Our goal is to find a
loving home for each and every homeless pet that finds their way to our sweet
shelter.
Caloosa Humane Society Vet Clinic is a full service animal hospital that proudly
offers low-cost, high quality veterinary care for dogs and cats available to the
public.
The Tri County Humane
Society was founded as a no-kill organization in July 2001 after taking
over the Lullis Ritter Animal Shelter. They are dedicated to stop the killing
over 45,000 unwanted pets in Broward County, 65,000 in Miami-Dade County, and
60,000 in Palm Beach County each year. With this goal in mind the Tri County
Humane Society will not release an animal to another organization that has a
policy of euthanasia. In addition, they only place animals with qualified prospective
owners. Over that past year over 3,200 pups, cats, dogs and kittens that were
on death row ready to be euthanized where rescued by this Humane Society. Since
Tri County took over the Lullis Ritter Animal they have had 2121 adoptions.
