Hendry County Sheriff forms part of the Florida Sheriffs Association which is a is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation made up of the 67 Sheriffs of Florida, approximately 4,000 business leaders and 100,000 citizens throughout the state. The 67 Sheriffs of Florida are given a forum to address lawmakers to push for positive changes in the criminal justice system in the state of Florida. The Sheriffs office is provided with needed programs such as affordable training, special task forces and legislative and legal services through the association.

The Hendry County 9-1-1 system serves under the management of the E-911 Coordinator, appointed by the Hendry County Board of County Commissioners. The responsible fiscal agent is the Board of County Commissioners. One Primary PSAP is located at the Sheriff's Department in La Belle, serving the Western portion of the county. Direct dispatching is accomplished at this PSAP for all Sheriff's Department, Fire Department, and Division of Forestry emergency calls, and Ambulance service calls. One Secondary PSAP is located at the Sheriff’s Sub-Station in Clewiston.
