Hendry County Fire Departments are the following 5: Clewiston Volunteer Fire Department, Felda Volunteer Fire Department, Hendry County Emergency Services, Montura - Flaghole Volunteer Fire Department, and Pioneer Plantation Volunteer Fire District.

Clewiston Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1945, with one truck and twelve members. Presently, Clewiston Volunteer Fire Department has grown to twenty volunteers and has a modern fleet of firefighting trucks and equipment. More than 747 calls are responded yearly. Most of these calls are requests for assistance with Signal 4 traffic accidents. The firemen receive extensive training that includes Fire Fighting, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Medical Training (EMT), First Responder, and Extraction. This fire department specializes in the following services: Fire Suppression, Hazardous Materials First Response, Vehicle Accident Response and Extrication, Basic Life Support as First Responders, and Disaster Operations such as hurricanes, flooding, etc.,
